BEAUTY ALIXIRS

I purchased Laneige BB Cushion in Light ($44 CAD for 30 ml) from Sephora recently. For reference other foundation shades I wear include Chanel B20, MAC NC20, Dior 021 Linen.  

Over the years i've tried Topbox, Glossybox, but the only beauty subscription service i've stuck with ipsy.

Of all the face powders I've tried, this one is by far the most fool-proof. While it doesn't have the coverage of MAC's Mineralized Skinfinish Natural, it does provide a beautiful finish which looks like your skin but better and offers a very natural glow while reducing the appearance of pores. 

I have the Guerlain Meteorites Powder in both 01 Teint Rose and 02 Teint Beige.

I purchased the Etude House Drawing Eye Brow pencil in #5 Gray and it arrived in the mail today along with 3 samples.

( Aside: the Tomatox Magic White Massage Pack doesn't have English instructions anywhere on the packaging...Do any of you know the instructions to using this? -->o.0<--That's me confused)

For less than $5 it's a great pricepoint if you don't consider how little product you get. The packaging doesn't specify the weight, but it seems less than the NYX Auto eyebrow pencil, and definitely less than the Marcelle pencil, which is a standard non-mechanical pencil)
 On the plus side, the caps on both end are very secure and not at all flimsy, and I like how they made the lid colors different so I'll never run into the problem of attempting to draw in my eyebrows with a brush because I was too lazy check the cap first. ( I had that problem with Estee Lauder's automatic brow pencil)

 Color wise it's actually darker than I expected. Having rather soft, sparce eyebrows and black hair, I find a lighter gray pencil comes across more natural. Despite the fact that there is a different shade that is "dark gray" I'd say the color is very comparable to most other gray eyebrow pencils on the market, and no lighter.
The texture is harder than other brow pencils ( NYX, Marcelle), but this may be because I've only swatched it once and the top layer of the product usually is harder for pencils like this. Even if that's not the case, I'd still consider it a plus as you don't want to be using an uber creamy pencil on your eyebrows, unless you're going for the bold..harsh..look? Is that a thing?

  The Revlon Colorstay whipped foundation is also something I'm excited to try out. I've watched and read countless reviews with many good things to say. I tried it today for the first time with a Sigma F80 flat top brush with some Mac Fix+ sprayed on the brush and it performed beautifully. A more thorough review will come.
